Last week, we talked about how your response to colors is used as an assessment tool for your career. This week, we have the results of the latest CareerBuilder.com survey on astrology and birth order, and how those things may affect your career.

For birth order, the results indicated a few trends. Among them:

• Workers who were the first born in their families were more likely to make $100,000 a year or more, while the youngest born were least likely to fall into this income bracket.
• According to the survey, first born workers were most likely to be drawn to the fields of government, engineering, pharmacy and science.
• Workers who were the middle child were most likely to go into nursing, law enforcement, fire fighting and machine operation (such as factory work).
• And the survey indicated that the last born workers were more apt to be in sales, information technology, art and design.

We also asked workers about their career paths in relation to their astrological sign. What is YOUR sign?

• Aquarius – sales, military, engineering, mechanic, food preparation, facilities management and transportation
• Pisces – social work, personal care, information technology, facilities management and mechanic
• Aries – government, construction, hospitality, information technology, education and transportation
• Taurus – nursing, engineering, attorney, judge, marketing/public relations and higher education
• Gemini – art/design/architecture, nursing and personal care, sales, law enforcement, firefighter and machine operation
• Cancer – government, legal services, advertising, higher education, machine operation, transportation and military
• Leo – government, legal services, art/design/architecture, engineering, entertainment, real estate and education
• Virgo – social work, sales, hospitality, editing/writing and food preparation
• Libra – social work, government, advertising, machine operation, law enforcement, firefighter, sales and education
• Scorpio – legal services, engineering, science, education, construction and skilled trades
• Sagittarius – editing/writing, marketing/public relations, entertainment, hospitality, information technology and military
• Capricorn – art/design/architecture, nursing, science, information technology, sales, farming and food preparation
